    SBEC Chips 87C257 ? Where to get them ??

    I looked at mouser and found this one

    But there was a few others that all were obsolete. I heard something about internal "latches" and the one that mentioned this is in the obsolete category. i am just wondering which one i need

    I would get a chip converter, this way you can use the more common 27SF512 chips. I bought one off of quantum a few months ago. I paired it up with a moates chip extender and it works great.

    thanks! i want a chip converter for tuning but just the regular chip for permanant installation so i can use the converter on other cars. (My family has many Turbo mopars!)
