could it be bad gage bad waste gate...?
could it be bad gage bad waste gate...?
close the waste gate and it will boost higher.
need a lil more info
+1 on more info. What are you doing to control boost? What year car etc.
it a 89 dodge daytona c/s 2.5L. i have a mbc but it aint hooked up at the moment. the accuator wasnt hooked up to the door wen i got the car so no boost wen i stated on it. so to c how much boost it would make we opened it all the way up and only got 8 psi. idk if that the computer want let it make ne more or wat but i wantin it to make all it can with out burin up my pistons. ne ideas.?
If you open up the waste gate you loose boost (dumping the exhaust presure) you want to keep the gate closed until boost goal is reached .Dont go above 16psi with out Mods!
so dont go over 16 psi on a bone stock 2.5 and it will be safe rite?
Sounds like you have a Mitsu turbo non-intercooled 2.5 T1.
If the car is all stock with no mods and the vacuum hoses are all hooked up correctly according to the sticker under the hood, you will probably only see a max of 10 psi.
If you are manually controlling boost with an MBC or you tied the waste gate shut, the stock computer will shut off the injectors on anything above 14 psi of boost assuming you have not modified the vacuum line going to the MAP sensor.
So, hook the waste gate actuator arm back up to the waste gate. Double check all vacuum lines and drive the car. Let us know what you have for boost.
slow down, proof read your post, and use whole words so we can understand what you're trying to ask.
ok ill double check everything and take it back out for a drive but i got to get another axle first i popped one the other day baggin 2nd. lol
