    $400 control arm bushings?

I was looking at the NAPA web site and this caught my eye:

Control Arm Bushing - Lower - Front Suspension

Inner 1 Kit Services Both Sides w/ VIN # 1C3XJ41JXKG202143 RPC
    18035 $395.99

Any clue as to what is so special about this car?

Since it gives a specific VIN, it made me wonder what was different about this car.

Betweent this thread and Polygons thread about control arm bushings. I just went and looked again.

Those bushings are made by rare parts and convertible specific. Hence the hefty price tag.

Ok, that's got to be b.s. I looked up the part numbers in my factory book and it's the same number for all G,J,A,P and K bodies.
4322834 for the front bushing and 4322835 for the rear. I don't believe it's any "convertible only" part in this case.

Well the convertibles did have some weird stuff, IE motor mounts, that only they got. I don't believe they need special control arm bushings though,

Maybe you're on the Mexican website and the price is in pesos. 400 pesos=$30.18 at the current exchange rate. Does that look like the right price for a set of bushings? Then again, maybe installation and alignment are included in the price. Certainly should be!

    Re: $400 control arm bushings?

Guys are missing the entire question. The bushings I questioned were for a specific VIN. The VIN codes out to a 2 dr. sedan anyway, not a convertible so it's not some convertible only part.
As for the pesos, unless our dollar sign is used in Mexico I really doubt it was priced in pesos. The price quote was cut and pasted from NAPAonline.com
I could see the confusion though....being from California might make you think that you are in Mexico.

    Anytime,
Just the drivers side motor mount is different on the convertible.

Didn't know there was a special transmission mount, just a front, left and right motor mount. Guess I'll have to look for it.

    Re: $400 control arm bushings?

Any chance that they have these as non-servicable bushings, and these prices include the control arms and ball joints?

I dunno Mike, it's possible. What trips me up is that NAPA listed a specific VIN.

What do you mean by specific VIN? Is it a part of the VIN that they want to know or how does that work exactly?
