    2.2 Carb'd car questions

I have an 85 Turismo 2.2 I'm working on. I've purchased a Weber carb for it. I also am planning on doing the 1980 VW vac advance distributor.

My question relates to the oxygen sensor. I have the head off the car and the manifolds off. Since the 02 sensor will be essentially worthless now that I'm running a non feedback type carb, should I just leave it out?

Or should I re-install the 02 sensor and hook up an a/f gauge to use for tuning?

    Any thoughts appreciated!

AFIK the O2 sensor was only used for the computer to adjust the solenoid duty cycle on the feedback carb. I'd probably just leave it off.

That's what I thought as well.

I'd reinstall the O2 and get an A/F gauge....I know I'll be having an O2 bung put in for that reason.
