Will a 87-89 rear metal bumper & shocks fit 91 Daytona ES

Someone backed into my 91 Daytona ES. Messed the metal bumper up good. The bumper cover is fine, just pushed up 'cuz of the bent metal bumper underneath and should lay or go back into shape with a new metal bumper.

The question is:
Will an 87-89 Daytona rear metal bumper and bumper shocks fit on an 91 Daytona ES?

My local pick and pull has 2 87-89 Daytona Z's with good rear bumpers and shocks.

Well, I guess I'll through my 2 cents in here since no one else answered. Near as I can tell from searching the catalog it looks like you would be best sticking to 90 or 91. Could you take your old parts along to match them up?

You could possibly modify the '89 one to work if you have to.
Would be better to find a '90 or '91 though.
I know of none anywhere at the moment.

says reinforcement fits 87-91 in the Rockauto so I guess that would be a yes to your question.

I know they changed "styles" of energy absorbers. my 88 had an all metal one that crunched/ folded into itself and was a one hit use. The one in my 92 had a spring loaded piece of plastic that mushroomed out..which we were able to straighten and the spring loaded absorber part was fine, just heated up the mushroomed plastic to reform it back to it's original shape.

i guess they could interchange, but i never tried

I believe the bolt holes are in a different spot, but nothing a little modding can't fix.

I'd like to say thanks to all that have answered. I noticed they had a 93 Lebaron in the same pick-n-pull so I'll grab that per everyones suggestions on the 90 & up.
