Angry Political discussion for why chinese cylinder heads are destroying America

So I've got a Chinese cyl. head on my motor at the moment. It says QF on the front. The motor is not in the car yet. Should I get a rebuilt chrysler head on there or just use the chinese one?

    Re: Chinese Cylinder Head

it cracked after a few heat cycles, started to get compression into my overflow.

if you get a good one side by side and compare them yourself. there is no way you would still use that head. im not just being a big china hater here btw. but those heads are terrible.

do you know how many dead k cars I see at junkyards with bran new china heads. I would wager money when you see a new head on a old car at a bone yard that head put the car there.

Plus if you use a cast aluminum valve cover and don't grind down the inside right front corner you crack the valve cover.

The giant gay Chinese symbol on the front is a dead giveaway.

Even a mild port job will break through, been to the shop where a vendor from this site has their head work done,

Generated a BIG pile of scrap.

Hell, one of the ones I had was puking coolant out of the base of a cam tower.

I only seen pics posted on this site a few years ago 9try a search) and side by side.... the china head was horrible. Tons of casting flash..... and crappy amounts of core shift. Steer away! Looks like something you'd find at the Dollar Tree store

    Re: Chinese Cylinder Head

I have that same head you are talking about. Its actually what FM used as their CNC head. Its always been good on my last 2 cars. It holds over 500 all day with no problems. The only thing i ever had done was when the normal little cracks between the seats got deep i just had interlocking seats and bigger valves installed. I wouldnt think twice about using another one of these heads on a performance car. The only bad thing i have ever heard was that my machine shop guy told me it was a PITA to weld sometimes because it got a lot of sand still in the casting.
