    1991 IROC Daytona

    Selling or Wanted Price: 1500.00

Description:1991 IROC Daytona for sale... Don't want to sell, but I'm in a bit of a predicament. 3.0L V6. Bottom end was checked about 3000km ago and said to be in good shape. At that time the heads were re-surfaced, ported and camm'd. The cams have a bit less lift and a bit longer duration. Has a custom intake manifold made for it with a 60mm Jeep TB. Black leather interior, working overhead console and A-543 trans. New front ball joints
Issues - a few wiring jobs used butt-connectors instead of soldering. Easy fix if you're good at soldering. Front strut top hats I believe are buggered. They're a bit noisy but all works good. Also the cams seem to be a bit too small? Not sure the problem, there's good oil pressure but the valve train is a bit noisy. I've taken it to a head shop and he believe it needs mechanical rockers to fix the problem. If you're a V6 guru I'm sure you can fix this problem fairly easy.
The wheels are not as shown. There are currently 1992 Spirit wheels on it with crummy tires. The SRT-4 wheels I need for my car because I can't afford new wheels and they're a little sentimental to me.
Car is NOT for parting out, sorry.
    Believe I covered it all.

Are you still using the cal I made for you for this car? I'd be curious to get some more feedback...

It's still in there, running good. Not much of a difference though. I still haven't gotten a chance to do a run with both comps to see the difference yet though

Guess I should mention that this sale does include the socketed SBEC with the cal made by Mr. Shelgame :P

Does the car really look that good? Easy fixes for me. I want to make space.

My wife likes it. How crazy is it to get a car over the border and registered in the US. Billions in taxes and fees? Is this a fire sale? A/C?

    More pics?

It does, aside from the boring wheels that are currently on it. If you had SRT-4 wheels and spacers if would look exactly as shown. There's a dent right in front of the rear wheel well on one of the sides... can't remember which from when I was a noob ---- and lifted it on a bad spot and it dropped a bit. No paint damage that's visible. Probably just take off the molding on the bottom and pop out. Paint is old, but decent, odd little chips here and there but nothing major. I can try and take pics of the worst spots I can see but I don't think it's anything that would deterr one's mind.
Can't see any issues taking it over the border.. Fire sale? A/C was removed when I rebuild the top end

All older pics with old intake mani and hood though. It's currently with the red hood and custom mani.

Forgot to mention the TB sticks, needs to be replaced and tampered with. Can unstick by slapping the gas peddle. Real neusence, but easy fix. Just repalce it with a new Jeep TB, which if bought I can do before it's picked up.

It's in British Columbia. About an hour or two from the border.

    Re: 1991 IROC Daytona

Fire sale meaning emergency. My wife is officially immigrating monday so I have a lot going on. I might have to find storage for my Starlet so I can justify a parking spot. The throttle on my Ford TB stuck because I had a chrysler TPS sensor on there with a ghetto adapter. If the screws holdint the tps got too tight, it would bind up. I know its not that bad, just annoying.

If nobody is interested then I will be. My cars are at my parents house so that is my problem. Limited parking. I really need another "driver" car and a 3.0 is the easiest thing for me to maintain.

Beyond its little foibles, it is drivable 200 miles?

I would have to look at the legalities of bringing a car over because I suck at buying cars. Clean title there? I don't know how Canucks roll.
I would be jealous of anyone who buys this car.

And I made a similar dent on my Spirit last summer when it dropped down too far with the wheel removed, and my car already had one from when it was previously owned.

    Re: 1991 IROC Daytona

There's is a bit of interest so far but nothing much. And yes, I guess this would fall under a 'fire sale'. Sooner the better at this point. Car is def able to go 200 miles. I drove it to Van and back about a month ago. Fresh oil in there as well.
Clean title as well, I've never brought a car from states to Can, or vise versa so I'm not sure, but I doubt there would be any problems.
Keep me posted dude. If you're very serious about this I can take the ads down and list it as sold. I honeslty don't know a beter home than with you.
    Let me know mang!
Also if you want any vid/photos let me know as well. I have no prob.

    Re: 1991 IROC Daytona

I want the car but I don't want you to get screwed. As I said, immigrating monday + I need to run that past where I would be parking it at my parents house. I need a car that my wife can eventually drive and that might be my Spirit minus some boost.
My wife thinks it would be fun to go up there to get the car but I don't think she can cross the border until she is a permanent resident.

Reading up on the border thing. PM me the VIN so I can request a conformance letter from Chrysler. Probably gonna screw you because it might take 2-3 weeks just to get that letter.
I will go after the letter and see if your sells to someone else and talk to the local registration office about registering the car here.
I think I might need to tow it because I won't have plates on it, or get a trip permit. I surely need the Vin for that as well. Chrysler can refuse to mail the letter btw.

Edit: I would take me off the list of potential buyers but send me the VIN and I will seek a letter. Parking is the issue and my wife might be able to talk my parents into finding space.
I hope this car goes to a good home. I don't have a paintjob in my fleet to make my cars have any value at all.
Your car reminds me of Chief's black turbo tona. Jealous.

Well I'll keep it up here, but looks like you're the only serious bite so far. Hope you get it so I can see videos of it next summer kicking --- and be filled with regret

Becoming quite eager. I really want to get my Spirit going again before the drag season starts up. I'll put 92 Spirit mags on it and drop the price to $1300
