So I have a poping sound out the exhaust, I belive its been there since I got the car. I changed the plugs, wires, roter, not the cap yet, i looked over all the vac. lines dident SEE anything broke. What could it be?
So I have a poping sound out the exhaust, I belive its been there since I got the car. I changed the plugs, wires, roter, not the cap yet, i looked over all the vac. lines dident SEE anything broke. What could it be?
popping when? on decel? They all do that, just the muffler silences it. It's caused by having just a little fuel still entering the engine, it burns off in the exhaust and makes the popping sound. They all burble a bit at idle too but for a different reason.
its doing it at idle.
a little burrrrrrr bur burrrrrrrrrrrr is normal. If it sounds like a gun shot you've got something going on.
Its does it when the the Baro solenoid switches over at idle. It also will pop BAD at decel when in gear with a stock computer. But with my Shelgame cal it doesnt do it at all.
