    Need new fuel pump.

I have a stock 89' CSX. I need a new fuel pump, but I'm not sure what to get. 190l/hr or 255l/hr. which would be best for my application?

Just needing a replacement right now. I'm not very knowledgeable as far as cars go and usually get all of my advice from one of my friends. Like I said, my car is stock and I'm just wondering if it would make much of a difference to use one or the other.

What are your plans? If your planning on turning up the boost past 14 psi and doing some mods, then buy the 255. If just keeping it close to stock, just by a stock replacement.

I'm planning on a bigger turbo at some point and upping the boost. It will be a while before this happens though.

In that case, buy the 255.

    Re: Need new fuel pump.

I ordered the 255 and I'm putting it together now. I just need to know do I need the pulse dampener and what is the best way of clamping the pump in the carrier? The retainer clip won't fit over it and I don't see a good way to use the ziptie on it.

Don't use the damper, use hose clamps. It should fit with some minor trimming. A zip tie is fine or large hose clamp.
