Feeler of Interest: FMIC Kits per Body

I need to know the level of interest in front mount intercooler kits. I'll be fabbing these kits for specific chassis. The kits will include a quality intercooler with smooth flowing end tanks and high fin counts, 2.5" SS intercooler piping (mostly welded), 4 play couplers, high quality T-bolt clamps, all applicable bracketry where needed, all with a no hack-job (no cutting or welding) installation. Some drilling may be required for intercooler support.

The kits will be designed entirely for a 100% stock vehicle. I will change up the kits upon request (Ex. different size pipes or couplers) for no additional charge as for starting out, the kits will be made to order.

I will even offer high quality media blasting and painting for an additional cost. If youve seen our van, you'll love the paint.

Starting off, I'm speculating around $350 per kit.

Please let me know if you would be interested in a kit. If so let me know year/make/model as well.

    Thanks!
    -Bryan

I would for $350.. L-body but its gotta look clean and be a GOOD intercooler.. The kit would really take the hassle of piecing together piping for those who cant weld like myself

    This!

Also, how much will it flow, how much pressure drop? Also, what routing will the pipe take?

    It will be.

That's dependant on the application. It'll be as big as possible.

I have no numbers on it yet as that will be decided. The routing will depend on the application. I'd like to keep the kits designed with no cutting so it will be different.

In most cases it will be a vertical intercooler. It's more suitable for engines like ours, plus the higher fin count over the core really helps with flow and keeping the pressure stable.

Haha oh man. Thanks for taking me back, Kevin.

The kits will be intended for vehicles still equipped with A/C.

a/c isn't the problem, it's the full size rad that sometimes get's in the way.

agreed, particularly with a vertical flow cooler. however, this kit used in conjunction with the new rad being produced by TU would work very well.

Right. I may construct the pipes under the core support. This way no cutting of the core support is required.

I'll try to get these kits under way soon. It all depends how quickly I can find local vehicles in stock trim. That will be the most difficult part.

Right now I just have a 1989 Acclaim that belongs to one of my friends.

Well, for all who are interested could you please tell me your year/make/model so I can start doing some developmental work and locating the vehicles.

    Thanks.

1985 Dodge Shelby Charger.. Id prefer the pipes to run besides the radiator rather than under the core support but whatever works works

If there's room I'll certainly do that.
