Ding Ding Ding AARRGGGHHH 92 TI Daytona

LOL the stupid dinging noise (that goes off when your key is in the ignition and the door is open) will go off randomly...this is a 92 TI Daytona. It seems to chime non-stop if it's humid or if I'm traveling on a rough road. Bumps will cause the problem to appear.

There is also a clicking under the dash at the same time...I think there is a relay down there trying to lock the doors, but the PL's don't actually work, so I'm not 100% positive.

Every single 92 Daytona I've owned has had an issue where the PL's go crazy and operate up and down erratically...anyone else had this issue?

What are the odds it's a malfunctioning body computer verses a wire rubbing somewhere or a bad switch?

my guess is a bad switch. have you disconnected either side. I think there are 2 switches per side and its a push button switch at the latch end of the door.

Body control module issues are common on these cars. That and you may have a switch problem in the door.

I'd lean more towards the door switch. My van had a sticky one where you have to wiggle it to get the dome light to work if opening the driver door. Although if the PL's don't work you might want to track down why.

Crappy door switches... common problem on a lot of the "newer" Chrysler stuff.
