I am sure he's addicted. Turbo Mopars are obviously awesome... I love mine, would not give it up. That is nice though, good swap.

Since I had this thread moved I thought I could get some laughs out of an old engine bay pic. This is what it looked like when I brought it home from the salvage.
Someone go muddin' with the hood off??
Here's a pic of my coolant mod. The hose goes to the water pump for now. Will go thru the heater core and then back to the pump later on.
Got rid of the funnel/2hose/4hose clamp going from the tstat to the rad. Got a custom welded offset 1.5" outlet tstat housing and one hose, 2 clamps now.
New exhaust from the axle back. Still all 3". Had it dumping before. A tad more sleeper now. Plus I don't smell exhaust fumes now and its very quiet on the highway.
Here's a muff shot lol.
Took this pic tonight. I've done nothing to the paint/body yet. Figured it would get even more laughs by naysayers as is. Just made a 400 mile road trip with NO problems. This is after sitting in my backyard since I killed the engine in 2006. I plan on running these tires too when I hit the track shortly. My last best was 13.58 @ 100.05 on the 8v setup and these tires. Cooper cobras baby. 2.17 short time. I'm hoping to see 12's on these same tires. I don't know of many mini's running 12's on street tires. If not, slicks it is.
Oh and simon here's the puke can you busted me on lol. How bout that battery tray/tie down for the wal mart lawn and garden special.

Hahahhaaa, good job,
It would be fun if you could get into the 12's with street tires but I honestly think no way, you just won't be able to launch it and by the time it hooks up, or try's too, the run will be over.

I had to launch in stages last time (8V). I launched with 12psi. Now it's more like 9psi gets me the same feel. I only need 6 tenths from my last best and now I certainly have the power to pull harder from the 1/8th on. Ran a 8.72 1/8th at 82mph on the 8v so I'm hoping to pull the big end a little harder.

Yeah I went out the back door at 100.05 in 2nd. Sure hoping to see third next time. Of course thats shifting at 5800 last time more like 6500+ this time.
I'm tryin for next Friday still have some tuning till then to do. I will put some slicks on next year when I get a converter, some alky, and the roll control. She might hold up then. For now my quest is 12's on tire barn street radials. If I can get close to a 2.16 short time it should be there.
Well life has gotten in the way once again. My header cracked, got it welded up, had to skim .075" off the flange. Maybe I shouldn't have made a 304 stainless flange as most use mild steel. I'm gonna run what I have unless it warps or cracks again. I did the .047" valvebody mod and it hits HARD in 2nd and 3rd now. I can't get the smec to control boost now so I may have to use the ol faithful 2 step boost controller. I am having problems with the tune too but full throttle tables seem to be close. I am a little worried that my stock (rebuilt) converter may frag the thrust washer but surely the all season street tires will break before I have serious issues?? I just want to make a handful of passes this year if I can get the tune right. Anyone ever blow the stock converter/thrust washer before? Power level? slicks? thanks
