Thanks I hope so. Really I just hope it all goes back together and I don't have to deal with warping flanges and leaking exhaust. I'm ready to do some body work, paint it the same black as my csrt-4, get some 17" nsrt-4 wheels, drop it 2-3, and spruce up the interior.

Have you thought about cutting the flange on the head side this time? I have read that this clears up a lot of warping issues.

Yeah I resurfaced the old flange twice.. It was an engineering flaw on my part. Both times it warped more than 1/16". Once it was bolted on and warmed up, it warped. Flat within .001", bolt it on and run it for a while, uper warpage.

Oh and the head on the exhaust side was resurfaced. It checked flat within .001" as well (after being bolted on and running).

i dont think he means cutting the flange as in surfacing it....

he means cutting the flange so that all the ports are basically separate flanges. thats what prevents warping, even with stainless as all the flanges for each port are separate and then dont warp.

    Nice looking header, there.

Hmm, the 2.0/2.4 have the same bore spacing as the older 8V's. Couldn't you do the exact same thing with a set of flanges from FWD? I wonder if it will clear the stock 1-pc intake? I might have to get me one of those for the Daytona...

Thanks Rob. I doubt it will clear the 1pc. Not much room there. A log style would probably be better.

Oh, ok. well if I would have sawed thru the old flange it would have moved my bolt pattern enough that it wouldn't line up to the tapped holes in the head. If I wouild have welded the tubes up before even tacking them to the header I would have realized how much it would draw. On this header the tubes were all welded up before going on the head flange, after completed welding it only moved .015", easy cleanup. I've thought about partially sawing thru the flange so the bolt dimensions always line up. I actually have my head dowel pinned from the cnc'd port location to match the header port perfectly. Anal.
