    Re: Turbopalooza 2009!!

I had a great time until the intermediate shaft went out 3 hours from home. First time I've ever had one only last 1000 miles, even though it was a junkyard one. My brother picked up my van and tow dolly and and came after me so I got back ok just a few hours later than expected . So maybe I'll reserve judgement on the 2.2 since the intermediate shaft getting bad may have killed the power at the track. Although it didn't stop James Reeves from running an 11.4 in it on his second pass ever in my car Best I could do was 11.6, but then I always knew I needed the driver mod.

    Re: Turbopalooza 2009!!

I have some video footage of the charger and some of the other cars. I have to work on converting them to digital and I'll post sometime this week. Until then, enjoy a few of the photos I took:

haha at some of the pics! and Brad, delete the evidence of the SRT8 running!

Had a great time as usual! Thanks to the Adlers for the hospitality, as usual! Its amazing how Ken and Patti are always willing to let us rowdy turbo mopar guys takeover their super nice house 2x a year!! and it always makes for a GREAT event!

I ran my Dad's 09 Challenger SRT8 at the track. Managed a best of 13.6@105, which I found out isn't the best for an SRT8 as it should be running in the low 13s or high 12s for a factory freak. I blame it on my unfamiliarity with the car, the fact the car only had 900 miles on it, and the slick track. I broke the tires loose on the last pass shifting to 3rd!

Thanks to Ken and Barbie, I mean Jon and Tara for the SWEET shirts! Thanks to Tim for bringing the homebrew........ next time I would like to request Turbo Red only please

and thanks to everyone else who showed up for making it the great experience it always is!

Sorry you had problems on your way home Larry....I still have a TON of respect for someone driving their car that far, running the p*ss out of it, even letting someone else beat on it, then drive it home!

Also, thanks so much for handing me the keys! That was the most fun I've had in a while!!!! I love your car! (goes back to ebay searching for 9" Ford and Toyota Supra...LOL)

    Re: Turbopalooza 2009!!

Here are some I have from the antics of the evening. There are a few good ones in here. There is one of Reeves praying, quite nice. Then there's the one where Hemi Shelby is telling Kevin, STFU. However, Kevin doesn't seem to get it so Dave has to jump in.

Dangerous minds and even more dangerous minds, midnight mowing, T-M tech assisting with the mower, which more or less guarantees that the mower will break down, and so on.
