Omni GLH Fuel Pump Issues

Well, I was tuning my car to get ready to go to the track today and I raised the boost to 24 psi.... After 20psi it kept cutting out and breaking up, So I took it back home. I checked the spark plug gaps and those were fine, I tried to start the car back up and it would not start. I can not hear the fuel pump running or priming.... I do not know how old the pump is but I do know it is a walbro255 because I took it out one day just to make sure.....


My question is what voltage should I see at the triangle fuel pump connector with the car in the "RUN" position? I am seeing about 7.8V's....

You should see battery voltage, if not, check the wiring, relay and fusible links. If your back probing, its possible the connector is melted or the pump is shorting out. Jump the coil + terminal for a more accurate test.

also one other thing to check would be possible compression. Had a car that did that and it would do the same thing on me in higher boost and RPM's. Ended up being bad rings on Cylinder 1.
