    how to view a Bin file ?

    I just down loaded my bin file from my car (smec) to my lap top . How can i view it in Dcal or Chem if there is no assemble file or calx?

    open the file in d-cal, scan it while cross identify it to your current cal, enjoy.

    ETA: If you are scanning and cross identifying it with a cal from a different code base it may not come out right. If that is the case, you may have to keep trying different ones until you get very close. Sometimes you will need to keep a sharp eye out for mislabeled tables too. It can get messy.

    when i load the BIN file into dcal the screen /tables are blank i then go to scan and cross it with a current Turbonator file and all the spec are blank no tables

    dont tell me someones going to have to make a vid on this too

    Just copy an old tbl file and rename it to the file you want to use.

    ok i did that it works but data on the tables has like 4 times the adjustment points, i think just have to find the right table now

    If you get the part number off the smec we may be able to tell you which .tbl file you'd need to view it in dcal. I think even the few digits on the prom would be enough. It may be a little easier than dcal's scan function.

    will that work its not stock , was a Cal done buy Chris?

    We figured it out, remember, you had the cal saved wrong, it was only 1 kb instead of 32 or more.

    It would only work with a stock cal.
