How can I tell if the SBEC in my '90 Voyager is adding timing? The problem that I am having is that when I unplug my CTS to set base timing, the timing mark doesn't move, the engine doesn't change tone or RPM, nor does it set a code, nor does the cooling fan turn on. I can set timing and then plug it back in and there is no change in RPM or timing. CTS reference is reading 3.5vdc at 150* and 3.0vdc at 180*.
Any thoughts?

Is the timing mark jumping all around before you pull the plug on the CTS? Are you getting a code 22?
The timing mark moves about 2*-worth, but also does that with the CTS plugged in. I am NOT getting a code 22.
