    Question Air Intake Cone

Has anyone put a cone on a 87 Shelby Lancer or like it that has any preferences or ideas? Thinking that I am going to put one on...

I have read many times over that there isn't much gain in going to a cone filter vs just dropping in a K&N into the stock box on a mild motor. I only have them in my cars for convenience and space reasons. I think the Shelby cars usually look best with the stock box in there.

+2, dyno proof also. The stocker pulls in cold air as a bonus.

If your running a different turbo or a different IC, then its alot easier to run a cone filter.

    Stock... drop in.

Raised boost? A cone is better if you can get it in cold air.

    Re: Air Intake Cone

whats the surface area of a stock filter? it cant be that great. prolly good for up to 300 hp
we were running small APC filters here and my buddy did a back 2 back pass and picked up 2 mph just removing the air filter setup. mind you i dont like to run like this, but each his own.
