NEW improved design - U-bracket for bobble strut

Here is the link to the info page:
    http://www.polybushings.com/pages/moparubrkt.html

Need a bracket to weld on to your k-frame to attach a bobble strut or dogbone mount?
Converting an L-body car to a 555 or 523 transaxle?
Want to add a newer style k-frame into your 80's car, but only find good
automatic car k-frames in the wrecking yards?
This bracket could be your answer.
Photo shows factory bracket and the PolyBushings one on the left.

Nice, I like that little back angle so it makes contact with the vertical part of the K frame Might not even need the 'under' plate anymore...

Here's the 'old' style for comparison. Notice they had to shim the bracket to get the mounting hole to line up where it should be. The new version looks like it solves that issue.

i have the old on on my k frame and we put a bar on the bottom of the k frame and aglet pieces of metal to connect it to the bottom edge. most people dont do this which means all the pressure goes to the top where it tears the k frame. you made a piece which the DIYer who doesnt know alot about structural strength can not be tearing his k rame out in two months lol.

how thick is the steel? I would hate to burn a hole in the k member trying to weld a thicker piece of steel to the thinner k member steel. What kind of weld would be recommended? TIG, MIG?

ive migged one on and used a stick welder for another. just be reasonable and you wont burn through. i didnt even when using the stick welder cranked up pretty good.

The K-frame is pretty beefy there. Being two layers of steel formed and welded together. You would have to try and be stupid to screw it up.
