I don't see anywhere you posting your 60ft time for the race against the GTR. I want to know his times too.

Great Job! I have to say that I love that GTR vid, I don't know what these guys are saying but it looks like you were only half a car length behind. He might of run a bit faster but you must of killed him out of the lights!!

    Thanks,

The mere fact I hung with him still makes me giggle like a little school girl,

I'll scan the slip and post it up soon. My reaction time was a .166, his a .680,

Reaction time doesn't count against you if you aren't bracket racing or something like that, so when you were ''beside'' him, he was really 1/2 a second ahead of you...which is a lot, a few car lengths. You could have beat the guy to the line but he would have still won.

We are not bracket racing, its fastest man/woman wins, so yes, reaction times count.

Reaction time only counts WHEN bracket racing, that was my point. Clock doesn't start until you launch. You could sit there for 5 seconds if you wanted too after the lights went to spool up the turbo.

So if that's the case and he/she sits there, and I finish first, I WIN. A win is a win is a win.

LOL, in your mind you win but the timeslip says otherwise!

In a test and tune situation, if I wasn't ready to launch when the light goes green I waited until I was and still ran the same overall time, even though reaction time was horrible. Every track has 2 clocks, one for reaction time and one for overall time.

Re: Back in the 12's baby!!!!!!!!!!!

Its whoever crosses the line first. Who cares if the other car has a faster time slip. Thats how it is in nhra. You sit at the line forever and the other guy leaves and pulls a 14, you leave and pull a 10. 14 second car wins.

Whats everyones problem? lol Bunch of haters is what I am seeing. Probably because none of there 8v turdboxes have gotten to race one and come that close to beating it. lol I swear, more hating in this thread towards simon than I see on most local racing forums towards TD's. I dont get what everyones problem is. lmfao

Good runs Simon! Dont let the sheep get you down!

Not just NHRA. IHRA, AHRA, ORSCA, On the skreet, anywhere. First to the stripe wins. The ONLY exception being a bracket race.
