What engine does the 52mm TB come on? There is an '89 V6 caravan at the local JY, how can I tell if it's the 3.0L, 3.3L, or 3.8L? What all do I need to grab to make a 52mm TB work on my '90 2.5L TII?

Ahhhh darn it. I meant to put this in the induction section.
They say right on the Valve cover what it is. I don't think they made the 3.3 in 89 though.
OK that's easy. How do I find out what engines the 52mm TB came on? I can't find this info in my Haynes manual.
If you're interested in some cutting and tweaking, or have a spare 1 piece intake lying around, the neck of the 3.3L engines in the minivans are bent slightly more than the regular 3.3s, and mate up to our intakes in place of the stock neck. They are much larger and flow a lot better, but it's not a huge upgrade on a lower HP setup. I think Boost Geek has a couple pictures.Originally Posted by Donovan's Dodge Garage
I'm not really interested, thanks though. I'm going to pull some body parts off a JY van and I saw that is was a V6. I'm just trying to find out if it has the 52mm TB everybody talks about since I can get it for free.Originally Posted by Whorse
The 52mm TB has different sensors I think than ours. The AIS operates differently from ours, but our sensors will bolt right in.
You could always measure it
You can get them on up to 88 3.0 minivans. Look for the tall intake plenum.
Also the 2.4 stratus have them too. Just different vacuum port setup.
