    Made a few passes.

Well, I have been itching to get to the track with my CSXT since it has been intercooled and the exhaust upgraded. Nothing too special here. 2.5 w/Ghead, ported exhaust manifold, 2 piece intake, 8 year old recycled/ used "S70" turbo with .48 housing. Ebay FMIC, 3" exhaust, stock cal with +20's, original (to the car) A520. Old and well used BFG DR's 225/50R15's. 12psi boost, 13psi through traps in 4th. 89octane, 15* base timing. 1-2shift 5500-5800rpm. 2-3 and 3-4 were around 5200-5300rpm. Car ran a previous best of 15.2 @ 88 with no IC and stock exhaust.

Arrive at 75-80 Dragway in Monrovia, MD. 1hour highway, leave car running through tech, in the lanes and down for my first heat soaked pass of the day: Temp was in the low 90's with a good bit of humidity. Cool down into the low 80's by the time I made my last 2 passes.

    5:30pm
    60ft - 2.30 then promptly miss 2nd!
    1/8 - 10.12 @ 73.28
    1/4 - 15.47 @ 92.66
ok, cool. I've got 14's in the bag!

2nd pass: ?? let it cool down made pass around 6:30pm
quick spin of the tires, stage, and go.
14.7 @ ??? timing equipment error, no slip. Pat was there to tell me that it was a 14.7 run with no MPH showing. BUMMER! Hell it was a 14!

3rd pass: 7:38pm hit the water box, 2nd gear hazing of the BFG's.

    60ft - 2.08
    1/8 - 9.04 @ 77.26
    1/4 - 14.12 @ 96.94!!
WOW!!! tires spun for MAYBE 5ft then hooked well! I was stunned! SH*T I've got a chance at nipping a 13!

4th pass: 8:45pm water box, haze them in 2nd.

60ft - 2.42 - snapped clutch, and too much RPM - wheelhop city!
    1/8 - 9.66 @ 75.75
    1/4 - 14.80 @ 96.25

Final pass: 10:00pm water box, haze in 2nd.

60ft - 2.18 - felt good, smoother with clutch, no wheelspin.
    1/8 - 9.38 @ 75.32
    1/4 - 14.55 @ 95.86

All in all I am ectsatic! I felt like the car had a 14.5 in the 93-94 range. Pat told me that it it'll trap 96-97 and maybe nip a 13. I guess I just had to prove him right since it was his Birthday and all. LOL.
Time for some slicks and some mid 13's under boost cutout!! I think that about covers it.

    Re: Made a few passes.

Thanks ya'll! I'm going to go back soon, wearing gym shoes! then possibly try out some air shocks, ( been sitting on the shelf since '01 ) Then we'll turn the boost up past cutout. I'm getting excited about this!! What really pushed me over the edge was organizing the office and found the STACK of timeslips from 99-02 when I ran my old Daytona probly twice a month over each of those summers. I'm kinda curious how far into the 13's we can go while staying under boost cutout. Should be interesting!

I will have to do a write up! I'm pretty pleased with the install. BIG thanks to Pat for all the help and time spent putting the IC in a slamming his old 3" system on the car!
Anyhow, It's the XS Power Spearco knockoff. Car has no A/C, so there's no condensor to worry about. We moved the T1 radiator over to the pass side and it now rests inside the lower core support on the bottom and is held in place up top by similar to factory brackets ( from scrap aluminum) shorten the lower hose, and lengthen the upper hose. I chose to trim the driver's side of the core support for IC pipe routing, It would have been really tight otherwise. but it can be done if you don't want to cut the car.
Used a stock G body T2 IC hoses (lower formed hose, upper accordian, and upper strait to TB) Mounted the IC with hand bent aluminum brackets in the nose.
Ordered 3? I think 2.25" Mandrel U-bends from *JEEEEEEGGGGGSSSS*. then eyeball cut and weld to create neccessary turns from IC to stock location of stock hoses. Will have to take pics when I pull them off to paint them. Additionally, I need to order 2.5" to 2.25" reducers for the IC inlet and outlets, as I've just got spare hoses "that fit" on there now.
IC was purchased off Ebay for "buy it now" of $78??? I think. the U bends I think totalled $60. The clamps and sections of hoses were had in my shed and Pat's garage. The real time involved was making the pipes. I'll do a write up with pics sometime in the near future.

    Thanks!
