    Timing tables SMEC - SBEC

I am in the process of creating a base cal for my shadow (SBEC). One thing I took notice is the timing tables in Turbonator for SBEC are more agressive than the tables for SMEC. I am not sure if this is a mistake or if the SBEC cal is based off of a mopar performance cal. I was planning on matching the timing tables with the SMEC cals. Has anyone used the SBEC cal? If so did you do anything to the timing tables?

Are you actually calculating the total timing values, or just looking at the part and WOT tables?

I am just looking at the tables. Out of boost the part throttle has more timing than the SMEC Cal. The Full throttle is just about the same as the SMEC.

You need to look at all the timing tables and how they function on the whole to really see how much timing there is.

Re: Timing tables SMEC - SBEC

I looked at all of the timing tables I am aware of and have worked with creating cals in the past. The difference is mainly in the part throttle table. Has anyone used the turbonator SBEC cal before? I have no problem starting out with less timing and adding timing as needed. Just looking at the tables I noticed it had more timing and then comparing them there was a definate increase in timing. out of boost. When it goes into boost the tables line right up and the timing is the same. I was not sure if it was a mistake or just more timing because the base cal was a performance cal.

There are little differences in many of the cals. If there isn't any more timing in boost, then it's not based off of a MP cal.

Re: Timing tables SMEC - SBEC

Are you looking at the modified SBEC cals? Then yes, they are based on the MP cals. The timing is more aggressive than the stock 2.5 or SMEC cals. The timing is pretty much identical for the 2.5 from SMEC to SBEC...
