    Question MOPAR code reader

Apparently MOPAR had a handheld code reader and diagnostic tool that would show sensor data, and run tests on the EFI system.

Anyone have any idea where I could find one for a reasonable price?

I've looked at the Equus 3140, which reads ODB-1 computers and has an adaptor for the diagnostic port on our '87, but according to the manual it just reads codes after you turn the ign. key on/off three times. I can look at my power loss lamp and get the same info.

Are there any other handheld units (or even a PC interface) that would provide the same functionality as the old MOPAR unit?

The "official" Mopar/Chrysler scan tool is called a DRB, or Diagnostic Readout Box. They are on ebay quite frequently as dealers are dumping them for the newer starscan units.

OTC 2000 or 4000E is essentially the same.

Does the 2000 or 4000E perform the exact same diagnostic readouts as the DRB II?

Attached pic of DRB for refrence.
I thought only the DRB could do the solenoid checks.
You can fire the injectors, purge the fuel pump, cooling fan, ect.
Can the OTC do those functions as well?
