    Acceleration problem

Took my Daytona out on test drive last night, it is idling a little high, around 2300 rpms. I can accelerate if I do it very slowly, but any moderate or quick acceleration and it starts jerking back and forth and I have to let up off of it so it does not die.

89 Daytona Shelby 2.2 Turbo, first time starting was last week after it sat for 9 years. It has a new fuel pump and fuel filter, plenty of gas (super unleaded). New alternator, new spark plugs and spark plug wires

I plan to let it idle for about an hr this evening to see if that helps any, but appreciate any suggestion on what problem could be and/or suggestions for how to narrow down the problem.

Sounds like you have a vaccuum leak, especially in the MAP sensor circuit.

could be, I got the main vacuum hoses hooked up, but not the smaller ones on left side of engine area. I have the dealership book and looking at teh diagram in section 25, but not following all the smaller vacuum lines.

does anyone have any good pics of the vacuum lines for the 2.2 Turbo engine, especially the smaller lines?
