    SRT4 2.4 swap question

What would prevent you from using the stock srt4 computer in a daytona transplant. Not worried about instruments. Just want it to fire the motor. Cindy says it would be a major PITA. I know it would be easy to go MegaSquirt, SDS, etc. Got it sitting on the shelf and its paid for.

You would have to get all of the wiring and sensors that the SRT4 or PT turbo has.

The SRT4 is also pretty hard to trick into making more power unless you buy the MP computers from what I understand.

Have all the wiring and sensors. Understand it uses a programed key. Just curious what other issues there are.

Actually you can extract a ton of power pretty cheap.

    Anything can be done.

I think overall people just consider it more work than running a SMEC or megasquirt.

If the stock electronics were so tunable then I wouldn't expect so many SRT4s to run megasquirt.

I think Diablosport has opened up alot of windows for retaining the stock SRT-4 engine managment.
