    Porting G-head

When porting a G head exhaust port should I smooth out the areas that are circled? I'm running a ported exhaust manifold and since everything is apart I was going to port match the exhaust side but leave everything else.

    Don't see a pic?

It actually doesn't hurt much to have the manifold ports larger than the head ports, it help reduce reversion.

I fixed the picture. The manifold I'm running has been ported out to the gasket and I was just looking to match them up some and didn't know how far in the port I should go.

You want the make the exhaust port exit slightly smaller than the manifold, that way, the air flows out smoothly and doesn't hit a wall. You want the opposite on the intake side.

Port match it to the top and two sides and take it as far into the port as you can. The floor can be left alone.

You can make it a little smaller or match it to the exact size, just depends on how accuratly you can install the two pieces. Either way should be fine.
