88 shelby z high idle and no boost

i dont know wat it is but everytime i step on the gas and let go the car idles up to 3000 for about 10 seconds then slowly comes back down. i just changed out the gas tank and fuel pump because it had sat for 7 years and delivered no fuel..i have asked people about this problem and they say to check the AIS motor and im going to today.

the next problem is that im not getting any boost anymore. when we first drove it after the tank and pump were replace it performed great...then the car started idleing high and it got no boost.

most likely your vacum hoses are bad, you have to check them all.

yes i did. when i pulled the old gas tank and installed the new one i forgot that i was supposed to change out the fuel lines to because they were filled with the old sludgy gasoline that was in the gas tank.
