DING... DING... DING all the time !

This is on my 89 lebaron convertible (J body)
the audible warning chime (key in the ignition, head lights on) goes off constantly.
all the doors are shut, key is out of the car, headlights are off... chime still sounds.
it even sounds with the engine running and driving down the road.
No clue how to make it stop

any ideas, suggestions would be helpful.

Re: DING... DING... DING all the time !

    yay... I found the problem.

previous owner had an alarm system installed at some point.
Installer left the fuse block loose and it was rattling around in the dash.
I found the Fuse for the "chime" circuit blown and the chime module behind the glove box was faulty.

re-secured the fuse block in the factory location, replaced the fuse and chime module.
    all is working now.
