    Transfer Gear swap

    Replaced my transfer gears from the 1.06 to the .91 gears on the mini


    was spinning 3600-3700 at 75 DOWN to 3200 at 75


    Next on the list is install 205-65-16 which should drop it hopefully 200 rpm


    then install my lockup trans which is good for 300


    my goal is to cruise on the highway at 75 at about 2500-2700 which should really help the gas milage

    hmm, does the lockup trans already have those gears or will you have to swap them to that as well?

    Sounds good. My tbi/5spd cruises 75 around there and gets 25-28 avg, but theres a lot less drivetrain loss than even a lockup auto.

    yea when i throw in the lockup i will makse sure it also has the .91's since i have a spare set

    How are you going to control the lockup clutch? Interested in trying T-SMEC? I added the lockup code to it (copied from the TBI and V6 code)...

    i plan on trying it Rob's way when i get there. Gonna put a 2.6 lockup trans in my executive sedan, likely with smec
