Did you get a preasure reading from the 2.2 @ 444whp? (now that would Really be interesting! ) Also, I didn't think you got a chance to run the 2.2 down the track.....did you?

I did not get a pressure reading from the 2.2 nor run it down the track, things were just in the initial stages when the rod bolt let go. Just bad luck!

Re: So what are you Guys reving your 2.5L's to?

My dyno chart from the other night, 330 whp at 25 psi, not what I wanted but its a start. Notice the flat HP line and the torque curve isn't bad, I bet if I took some timing out, it would be better as it started to ping at 6200.

why's the power all of a sudden drop off? Good plot for no tuning ability.

It was putting the CEL light on at about 62/6300 so that's me chopping the gas and hitting the dyno brake.

Their Wideband is a a bit off, mine was reading 10.9-11.2:1 the whole time, must be the cat affecting their's.

yeah the cat is restricting your spool and power as well. get a cutout

My cat is so small, I would honestly guess its costing me 5 hp, if that.

I just found out my TPS was bad, reading 3.96 volts all the time but it actually changed to 4.15 at WOT.

Re: So what are you Guys reving your 2.5L's to?

I would say its hurting spool.

Open DP vs full 3" exhaust with an oldschool 4" internal Ultraflow made a HUGE difference in spool.
My stock motor e85 setup went from feeling lagless to lagfull.
And thats still much less restrictive then your setup with a cat and 2 resonators.
That thing will spool a couple hundred rpms sooner with a cutout at least. Possibly 500+ rpm sooner.

I don't think it hurt power a lot for me, I did 117mph on 16psi with no exhaust and 125mph 22psi and full exhaust. But the spool differenced was VERY noticeable. It was a whole different car with the exhaust Not as fun.
And with a cutout you can quiet things up in a hurry

So with the weight difference adding 40lb of exhaust added in, its about a 12hp/psi boost gain even with full exhaust. I don't know how to describe the lag difference though. Horrible? Yes. It makes the biggest difference on the street. Takes away from the fun.

Re: So what are you Guys reving your 2.5L's to?

That flat HP curve is indicative of an airflow restriction somewhere. Could be intake or exhaust, but if you're saying you have a small cat, then ditch it. I bet your HP curve would continue to rise. You running a stock TB still? You might need a bigger one...

Re: So what are you Guys reving your 2.5L's to?

I recomend flanging the cat and put a cutout in place and open it up at the track come air care time swap the cutout out and the cat in (also keeps the cat new and fresh for testing time)

The TPS sort of fixed the spool, its alot less laggier now, and when I get the laptop working, I can give it some spark advance.

I have a large round open air filter, 3 inch pipe to the turbo, IC is only 725 cfm though, large 4.5L intake, 58mm t/b, ported head, 3 inch from the turbo back, small high flow cat, Maxflow muffler and then a smaller Magnaflow round at the back.
