faster stick shift tranny at the 1/4 mile

hi every body i have a question i saw this information in another froum so i just copy the info

the A520 tranny with 3.50 gears have a closer 2-3 so they are faster at the track.

A568
385 final is way too high, i think 350 is the way to go i hated my spirit when i had the 568 3.85s in it

is this is true or wich are the best tranny for the 1/4mile thanks guys

I posted the answer to the gear ratios in another thread you asked in... the 3.50 A520 and the 3.85 trans has almost the same identical ratiosn 1st thru 4th. only 5th is different

You can goto the 24.5 to avoid the gear change. But with your current setup you are good to 113 mph with the 568 and 3.85 gears. Why go taller at this point?

yea i got it so the a568 has the same fd 3.85 so if i change the tranny dosent matter is not going to improve more hp at the 1/4 mile

the a568 or a555 just has a strong gears

Yes, A520 and A555 have the same 1st thru 4th

The A555 and A568 have similar strength gears... The A555 is proven in cars over 400hp. The 91+ A568 is only really stronger cuz of the larger input shaft
