I was just curious what people use for theft protection. I use an autolock on my car. I feel its safe enough from anyone stealing my ride. Now I just have to buy wheel locks...How about you all?

Keeping the lowly 94 base model 5 speed P body image intacted has worked for me
Really I just lock my doors, keeping the valuables out of sight, ect. Has proven to be the most effective theft prevention. Thankfully theft isnt a big problem around here
I have an omni...
LOL I guess that's a good enough deterrent! Most people just look past these cars but to me there all a diamond in the rough.
My Subaru Forester has a factory security system that disables the ignition if you don't use the remote to unlock the doors and will also sound the alarm if you touch it or whatever.
unplug the key of my 6 pole battery switch
My theft production is that a beat out convertible shadow es. I have keyless entry, so it gives the illusion that I have a car alarm. I also remove my V1 and radio face plate. I don't keep much in the car. What I do is in a trunk, which on a convertible shadow is tough to get into.
Overall, my biggest fear is somebody selling my car for a joy ride. I use to worry about somebody smashing a window, but I know have several spares.

I just don't own anything that looks like it's worth stealing.

I've always got 3 or 4 beaters in the driveway blocking the nice cars in the garage. If someone wanted anything that's worth stealing it would take them about 30 min to get all the cars with no batteries in them out of the way.
For the daily driver neon I occasionally remove the keys as theft protection.
On the Ram and PT we've got insurance and just whatever factory theft deterrents they came with.

I just noticed the wheel locks comment. Please don't get them. They will just steal your car since it's faster. Some guys do steal just the wheels these days, but they are few and far between. Those who do can split the lock faster than they can take a regular nut off. I worked in a tire shop for over 7 years and they caused people nothing but trouble.
<<<Not a fan of wheel locks. Next size down socket can usually get them off too depending on how tight. I know cause I had to get the wheels off my van to do brakes.... Big +1 on taking off the face if you have aftermarket and keeping anything worth anything out of site. With all of the original TM's down to the IROC and spirit being as old as they are now most people don't mess with them. Comprehensive insurance cannot legally make your rate go up in the event of a claim and you can usually get a reasonable or zero deductible. Check your state on that though. I think a handy little fuel pump cutout switch in a hidden place would work well. Just a thought. I'm not in Chicago or any city like some of these guys. The worst issue I have is the dumb neighborhood kids throwing rocks and ball at cars.

A locked garage and I drive nothing but Dodge. Not Porsche, not Lexus, not Jaguar. Dodge.
I drive an old Dodge that hardly anybody knows what it is anyways! I lock it when I get out, I have dark tinited windows, I always put up my sunshade to make it even darker inside, I try to keep valuables out fo sight, I don't ride through places with my stereo pumped.
Mostly it being a 21 year old Dodge helps the most though! Knock on wood I haven't had any trouble.... I DO want to get an alarm system though. It helps with insurance rates!
yeah, thieves don't want t-m. Kinda like being ugly is pretty good birth control.
I will put in an alarm soon with radar, since my car has a carputer, radio, naws, a 7in touch panel and megasquirt. More of avoiding the hassle of dealing with the damage than anything else money wise.
