Indeed this info is fantastic!! I'd love to try this now but seeing as i'll be parking the car in a month or so I'll save it for spring...also it would hurt the pocket book too much right now.

a new beginning indeed! although, simon said the van rancho's he used would raise a car like 2 inches up.. any plans towards that issue?

haha, well i didn't mention any rancho struts here either, did i
anyways, it's 9:15 am here so i guess you guys better go get some sleep
so in conclusion, anyone should try out the mentioned impreza strut in the front and ranger shock in the back combo
btw, are there any ranger adjustable shocks for the rear?
.... dude.. lol telling others to go to sleep?
The whole rancho thing came up because they are available for the ranger app which MIGHT mean they will work in the back of a car, and they are adjustable.
lol just messing around.
about those rancho RS9000X shocks, where would you find those? i've tried summit and tirerack so far, but no luck. the only ones i seem to find are for raised F-150's or some GMC trucks.
Also just for the record in case anyone is interested, here is the part number for the ranchos for the ranger.
Man. Part Number: RS999126
I just did a quick search on google with that part number and the first link I found had them listed for $83.71 I have never seen them that cheap yet!!
If i didnt need some front struts like crazy id spend the money to test those out. Hope someone does it soon!
thanks for the infos guys. i couldn't find the ranchos anywhere.. although usually i'm good at googling i remember going to the jcwhitney site but my browser kept freezing so i said screw it.
and as vigo said, i also hope someone does a ranger shock tryout soon
If anyone need this info:
Compressed length: 16.125"
Extended length: 26"
Travel: 9.875"
The Rancho catalog gives the dimensions for all of their shocks. Interestingly enough, those shocks are also listed to fit the F-450 and F-550 Super Duty. Must be a stout shock!
Summit Racing sells them.

btw i put some srt-4 springs/struts on the front of my dynasty using the same method of milling the shaft as on the impreza struts, cept i used a bench grinder for max [getting it done instead of not doing it because you can't do it "the right way" yourself] action!
This is what i ended up with for ride height. Very happy. srt-4 drop springs from here would be bitchin!
