High idle won't go back down...

    Ok here's the synopsis:

'85 Shelby Charger converted to T2. Always ran fine, no issues until I had the wiring undone from the inner fenders to paint. Just hooked everything back up two days ago, and now whenever I have the car running, the idle is much higher than it should be (don't have exact numbers...the tac doesn't work..). If you apply the throttle, the idle stays at the highest level that I go to and will not come back down. I am getting codes 25 (TPS sensor) and 53 (Internal logic module failure) now. At first I also got a code 24 for the AIS. I have since replaced the throttle body and the code 24 went away, but the other two remained. I've now tried three different TPS sensors, but still have the same problem. Any idea as to what the problem could be?? Has anyone experienced this? Please help...I'm getting frustrated.

Sounds like you need to try another logic module.

Cool. I take it the terminals in the LM connectors were moved to the correct locations for the T-II setup? I have found the subharness for the TPS/IAC doesn't make good contact from age and dirt, try there.

Yes the wiring is correct, as I drove the car for 500 or so miles before parking it for paint.

All grounds are connected and I've gone over the vacuum lines four or five times now. The fusible links were not disturbed when moving the wiring around.

Swap IACs with another car to see if it is bad.

    Pat,
I too lost a logic module in my 87 SC not long ago. Backed car into the garage one night, following morning wouldn't start and had the internal failure code come up. Weird... I thought that stuff just happened to me.

It sure would be nice to learn how to fix the logic boards ourself like the reman guys do. If only we could find someone that works for those places.
