    positive cable on starter

Replacing battery cables on 87 GLHS. Positive cable behind engine and underneath intake. Can this be reached underneath the car? How difficult is this job? Looking awfully cramped.

Yes it can be reached from underneath. It goes to the starter. Theer are other connectiosn int hat sub-harness like to the reverse light switch on trans, etc. To remove it from the starter:

    -disconnect battery
-jack car up and put on jack stands
-remove 2 10mm hex bolts holing on aluminum/rubber airfoil sheid to k-member
    -remove sheild
-remove 7mm hex nut and 13mm hex nut holing the two leads onto the starter solenoid
