    starting issue

Sometimes my car won't start on the first try but if I pull the key to the off possition then try again, it starts. This usually happens if I have driven it and left it for more 10 mins. It doesn't bother me that much because I can always get it to start. But it would be nice to know what causes it. Ideas?

    Thanks

Sounds like a fuel start issue. Do you have a custom cal in it?

If not, I'd start with the fuel filter. Then check static fuel pressure.

Yeah. It's one of cindy's calibrations, stage 5 maybe.

Will it fire right up if you turn the key to run without trying to start it, so that the fuel pump primes, then turn it back, then forward to start it?

I think I tried that once and it didn't start then wouldn't start for a while after that

I agree with Mario that it's probably fuel related. Do as he said, and if that doesn't fix it, I might be thinking fuel pump.

    Re: starting issue

I must flip the key forward twice to start my omni without it cranking for a bit, but I think it's because of the larger volume of the rail and lines I have in the car.

Perhaps it just takes a little bit for the feeder pump to get fuel to your external pump if you have it set up that way?
