Correct me if im wrong but line locks only hold the brakes on until release but if you brake boosting and pushing through the beams line locks wont help .
The only way i can see it working is with a trans brake wired into the the line lock to release with a switch.

the problem with vacuum boosted brakes is boost = no vacuum... hammer on the brakes, lock the locks, then build boost... Thats the way I'd do it if I had an automagic, too much fun rowing a 5-speed tho

Not really, you have 3 or so pumps in reserve, so if your holding the brakes at the line, your using stored vacuum, its just you can't produce enough pedal pressure to hold it back, hence the need for a trans brake.

I'm not saying a trans brake is not a good way, they obviously work, hence this thread! For less than $100 dual line locks on the front will do wonders...

If you have enough time at the lights you can try holding the brakes down hard and reving the car a few times in N to get the vacuum to pull the brakes down and then go back into D. Pretty time consuming but the extra vacuum as the motor decels helps to produce more vacuum for the brake booster.

Nice runs Dean! Could you post your 10.6 time slip? I'd like to see how the gear and convertor change transisions down the track.

Would have been nice to see the 330' on your 10.6 run, funny how they just turn that stuff off sometimes. Looks like the car picked up about the same on the top end and your only 2mph down with that converter. Looks really good!

I don't think its down at all actually the track was really slippery the 10.70 run the one before that one was 133.9 mph look at the 1/8th mph its also down by the same amount. Going out again this saturday weather permitting my data logs didn't work hopefully I'll get some good info still tuning the car too.
