    Teflon wrist pin buttons??

    Anyone ever use them in a TII type piston instead of the clips???

    Interesting. I think they are only for race cars but I could be wrong.

    I've used them for years in my aircooled VW but never a td. Although I think it would be a good idea with the factory style Mahles since the wrist pin clip seems pretty weak.

    If they are a Delron® type material, couldn't someone machine or make them for 2.2/2.5Ls? (I haven't seen these before so I'm just guessing.)

    Cindy I was thinking of the same thing, I've only seem them available for the aircooled VWs.

    I think the VW ones are larger so with some trimming, they would fit.

    There are motorcycle applications too..... HD's I think.

    McMaster - Carr sells teflon rod in many different diameters, $14.00 a foot for what we would need.

    They need to plug into the inside of the wrist pin, and have the same OD as the pin.

    They would be easy to make with a lathe, who's up for it???

    Our pins are 23mm OD, VW's are 22mm - I think they would work!!!
