    how to convert L body to smec !!!

    parts needed

    - omni 88-89 efi dash harness
    - caravan 88-89 turbo engine harness
    - a smec
    - 3 wire to switch for windshield wiper and washer to the bulkhead connector
    - add 2 wire for the air charge temp sensor (if t2 smec)
    - t2 wastegate solenoid (if t2 smec)
    - 88-89 electrical sensors (iac,tps...)

    i did it in 86 charger works for sure in 87 but early L body may work

    yeah that list sounds about right other than i dont know if you need that solinoid but yea

    t1 and t2 dont work the same way... ,i dont remember why but i had 23 psi with the t1 and normal boost with the t2

    i did use all the electrical sensor of the caravan and the alternator ,tb,but use a shelby lancer wastegate solenoid(t2)

    btw i dont use the speed sensor yet and the car goes awesome

    once you have all the parts its a one day job

    cost me about 500 $ to convert but in here its hard to find parts

    on a non stock computer t1 and t2 both wont go above 14lbs sounds like a vacumme issue

    i will keep that in mind i guess. what did you do for the wiring of the wipers

    i thought that the t1 and t2 wgs's used different nipples? like the t1 might be the top and hte t2 might be the 3rd one on the bottom

    If you look thru the turbonator smec thread there's an explanation of the T2 vs T1 wastegate plumbing and control tables. I think the later T1 style controls the default (without ecu connected to wg solenoid) will always leave the boost/vac source connected to the wg. The T2 style controls will (without the ecu connected to the wg solenoid) will leave the solenoid connected to atmosphere (and never open the wg). Basically T1 higher duty cycle= more boost, T2 higher duty cycle = less boost. There's a better explanation in the T-SMEC thread.
