Is 1.25" Swaybar from Spirit RT same as 1.25" from 87+Daytonas

I'm trying to find out what's the scoop with the sway bars. I'm trying to see if the one 1.25 bar I'm looking at will fit.

I have a k frame and control arms from a 89 Shelby Z I'm going to be using.
The bar I'm looking at is from a Spirit RT.

some general info involving the Daytona and use of the 1.25" bar [correct me if I'm wrong]

    84-86 Daytona Turbo Z 1.125"bar center
    86 Daytona Turbo Z CS 1.25"bar center
    87-90 Daytona CS 1.25"bar center
    87-90 Daytona Shebly Z unsure
    Daytona Iroc RT's 1.25" bar

    Spirit RT's 1.25" bar

are there any mounting differences in these bars?

ya they all mount up the same, but you gotta be careful with the 1.25 ones some of them were 1.25 all the way through and some necked down to 1.125 for the outer bushings that attach to the arm

I believe the R/Ts came with a 1-1/8" bar not 1-1/4. IIRC the only 1-1/4" swaybar is the one with the thick center section and smaller arms. late and early swaybars will not swap unless you swap control arms.

The 84-90 bars are all the same general shape (1 1/4 necks down at the ends). The 91+ bars are a different shape to work with the cast arms and mount up differently on the arms. You must match the bar to the kframe/arms you have. What happened to the bar that was originally in the 89 Shelby Kmember/arms?

Re: Is 1.25" Swaybar from Spirit RT same as 1.25" from 87+Daytonas

I think my friend sold it individually. when I searched the forums earlier today, i found he was asking people what they thought he could sell it for fairly. IDK. I'll double check with him to see if he still has it or another bar from a Shelby Z. He's parted many cars.

    thanks for the help!

    the details
    -I am planning on putting a 555 in my 84 Turbo Z.
-I have the kframe and control arms from a 89 Shelby (ALL THE BUSHINGS ARE IN GREAT SHAPE)
    ...my options are...
find the right sway bar and use it. should be 1 1/4 necked down near control arms
    OR
put the front suspension from a spirit RT on it. (PROBABLY NEEDS RESTORED AND BUSHINGS)
    so new questions are

Would the kframe/control arms (plus swaybar) from the Spirit RT mount up?
Would the tranx mount from the 568'd spirit match up to the 555 I'll be putting in the Turbo Z?

The more I think bout' it, I'd probably be better off finding the right bar?

The good part about the RT stuff is easy 11 inch brakes if you dont' have 11's already BUT and I stress this, you must swap over everything, so that means, knuckles, control arms, K-frame, calipers. You can't use your 84 knuckles with the 91 K-member.

easier to find the right bar. 89/90 11" brakes are easier to source than 91+ IMO

That's just not true. You'll just need to do a homebrew alignment before you can even get it out of the driveway. I've run mixed spindles/control arms multiple times. My minivan, my aries, my 85 turbo new yorker are all running mixed stuff.

you can, but the caster changes and an alignment won't change that. On some cars that causes the tires to rub the front fenders. Really the 89/90 setup is the easiest all around for anything 88 and older.

And on vans, the axles pop out, don't know how you got around it,
