Strut Install - '86 GLHS

I'm getting my Koni's back soon (rebuilt at Koni NA, Hilliard, OH) for my '86S and thought I'd install myself.

Is there a thread on best way to proceed? I don't want to f-up the car or my head by having the old KYB's blast out of the retainer like those jokers did on YouTube. I don't have a spring compressor and not sure if I need one.

Also, since I'll need the front end aligned, should I install my MOPAR front suspension rebuild kit (lower control arm bushings, rear) when I do the struts?

Anything I should check or replace on the swaybar such as bushings? If yes, does anyone know where I can get parts?

Struts should be back in a few days so I'd like to get parts ready and align the front end once.

Since I brought alignment up, any thoughts on setting '86S camber? I don't race this car but I won't hesitate to throw her hard into a newly asphalted off-ramp turn!!!!!

i did the koni strut install on my 86S it was actually very easy.

you will need a spring compressor, go to autozone they rent them for free.

do you have a factory shop manual? because i found that very useful during the install, you need a large c-clamp as well to get the control arm bolts installed, the shop manual describes the process.

also the shop manual shows you how to clock the springs and upper perch relative to the strut. important info.

do your alignment after all your new suspension parts are in, i'd align it to the numbers given in the 86S supplemental manual.
