    Socketing an LM

Ok, i was on the dodge garage and it says to remove both chips if they are different and replace them both with two of the 27c chips. mine are the same chip already, do i have to replace both still?

also, what information is held on the top and bottom chips (bottom being the one on the edge of the board)

also also, if i must replace both, what information goes on to each chip? I see that only the GLHS cal has a 'upper' and 'lower' chip tag.

I plan on running an 87 TII Daytona cal, possibly the MP one (if it is in the repository, havent looked that closely yet)

Thanks murf, i think the search button needs to be a bit more precise..

BTW, can anyone tell me exactly what changed in the MP stage2 ecu?
Ive searched the web the wide world over and all i find is 'MP performance for Turbo2 ShelbyZ/CSX' not saying what exactly it changed or how much of an improvement it gives.

I think stage one is just timing. stage 2 i believe allows you to 18 psi for a second, but i'm not totally sure on that. I think I rememer reading a thread here recently about a CSX MP cal that had no overboost

im pretty sure that the stage 2 has changes to the timing curve, fueling, and fan schedueles, and wastegate duties. they also have a short delay for overboost cut out. IIRC

Timing, fuel, fan schedules and I believe 2 more psi of boost and faster boost rate.
