Neon/turbododge Throttle bodies

I found out the hard way that Neon TBs and TD TBs do not interchange.
A TD tb will swap onto a Stratus or maybe a Caravan intake but not on a 1st Gen DOHC intake the Neons tb are a little different.
The TD tb are made by Holley and the Neon TBs are made by Weber. The AIS and tps sensors will swap.

You can use a Neon TB on a 2.2/2.5 blow-thru if you cut a notch in the throttle body for the idle air to flow.

But why not just use the Neon TB on the Neon intake?

Atermarket throttle bodies up to 60mm are available for the Neon intake manifolds as well.

Excuse the 10 year old scanned pic illustrating the notch that would need to be made to fit the Neon TB on a Turbo Mopar. 1st Gen Neons with auto trannies have 52mm TB's stock. Manual trans cars have a hump on the inlet side of the throttle blade that can easily be removed with a lathe.

I've been using one on my TII for many many many years.
