Cheapest engine rebuild?

Hi,

So Im thinking of picking up a glh roller for sale. It needs an engine and transmission. I have a spare 85 turbo engine that needs rebuilt.

Whats the cheapest I can get away with assuming I need very little to no machining?

Also wheres the cheapest place to get decent parts?

Any tips and advice is appreciated!

Cheap rebuild-clean everything yourself, lap in the valves, new valve seals, sand the head, new rings, hone, reuse old bearings and oil pump if good, new gaskets. You could probably do it for under $200.

As for parts, here, Ebay, CL, vendors etc.
