    2006 Hot Rod Power Tour

Thought I would start a new thread for this year's Tour.

My wife Thelma and I will will be attending again this year. We will be driving the GTC VNT Convertible again. We will drive down to Perry Georgia from here in Columbus, Indiana. We will spend 4 nights and 3 days on the Tour. From Perry we go to Columbia, SC.....then to Salem, VA.....and finally to Harrisburg, PA

Anybody else got plans to attend?.......saw Mike Marra's post on the Hot Rod Magazine forum about attending. Mike, I sent you a PM on that forum.

The Tour is a blast.....hope to see some more Turbo Mopars out there.

I looked for you Mike but couldn't find your car. I rolled in around 4:30 to 5:00 that evening. We went up and down each row looking for your car.

At Harrisburg I saw a Rampage with a blown Hemi......that thing was sick!!!!!
I will post a couple of pics later

Also a 1984 Mini van 5-speed. The TBI engine had been replaced by a T2.

The Van and the Rampage were very nice.

Also there were a couple of Long Haulers. A 1986 Red Turbo Z from New Jersey and a 1986 GLHS from Minnesota. Lic. plate was "GLHS"

My GTC VNT did not let me down. Traveled around 2400 miles and got 29.8 m.p.g for the complete trip. Most of the Interstate driving was 80 m.p.h.

Had to run fast just to keep up.

If any members ever get the chance to do the Tour, please do so. You will not regret it.

Re: 2006 Hot Rod Power Tour

i went to the one in orlando. it was one SICK show. i got excited seeing 69 camaros driving around town... then i went there and there were hundreds of them! plus with all the vendors there i got ALOT of free stuff, like posters, car wax, car models signing posters of them to me! it was sick! definetly got tons of stickers for my garauge and room at home. i was NOT disapointed at ALL. PLUS the NEW CAMARO was there!! LS1 powered solstice TONS of hemi powered cars and kickass fords.

if i ricer went there he probobly realized his car dosnt compare by any means. american rox! sure imports can be made to be super fast, but having a car with such an agressive look and rumble as an american car that makes babies cry is untouchable.

eveyone should go! no admission or parking fee either! hell there was a car show in the parking lot from people that just showed up and wernt registered to the tour.

if you havnt gone yet, GO!

It was great to meet up with you Mark...thanks for the comment about my car.

It was a car show every night in the motel parking lot.
