    Glhs #065 540hp/600tq!!

Went to the dyno saturday. Lots of people were there. The only one from the board that showed was "85GLHT". So he is my witness this time. The car just kept burning out on the dyno. It was strapped to the MAX! Control arms and BUMPER! Tires were aired down and front suspension was fully compressed.......yet it still layed the tires down on the rollers. I have ALL 100% of the dyno on tape from a stationary camera angle. All 31min. from the set up and strap down to the last pull! The only problem is its in VOB format and I cant seem to convert it to MPEG or AVI to load it on youtube. The vid is great tho and I will find a way to post it! Its shows the back of the tires making smoke on almost all the nitrous runs. The car will make way more with the correct tune tho. Right now its kinda crappy with a +40's cal with 72pph injectors. I had the base FP at like 26psi just so it wouldnt break up. So here are the charts.... the 540/596 and 500/498 are the N20 runs and the 399/385 was on just boost NO spray. Enjoy!

***EDIT** Sorry if the pic quality sucks, just save them and blow it up to see it closer. Its a combo of a crappy $30 printer out of ink and a crappy scanner.

    Wicked

I saw a neat little trick at a Diesel truck dyno day that would help you next time. They used a 10-15 second blast of "belt dressing" sprayed directly on the tires in the gear immediatly before the pull

    Great peak numbers.

Looks like the cams need some retard. Your powerband is dropping off a lot. Looks like mine before we went -4 degrees. Now it's flat to redline from peak.

Way to go! I'll take 2 bottles.

    Re: Glhs #065 540hp/600tq!!

Why in the hell are you dynoing in 3rd gear?
A simple change to 4th gear would solve your traction problems and be a realistic test for the motor's strength.
Do you guys have any idea what you are doing on the dyno?
1 second dyno pulls in 3rd gear can = kaboom in 4th if you have traction.

Won't it skew the numbers favorably if you are not in a 1:1 gear on the dyno?

You want 3rd in the normal TD trans....its the 1:1 gear, SRT4's use 4th because its the 1:1 gear.
4th would work but the readings would be off some. I have always used 3rd in all my TD's. Im not sure what "kaboom" is refering to.....the motor isnt gonna let go if thats what you mean. I spray the car in 4th off the freakin rev-limiter with over 35psi on the street and I know its not under a full load but rev-limiter + 35psi + Nitrous in 4th from like 80-135MPH without a problem tells me its gonna hold it all day every day
