Re: aftermarket gauges, where's yours? P-body

i've got two gauges in my pillar pod, the top is a boost gauge, the one below that is the zeitronix multi-gauge (shows AFR, lambda, boost, EGT):

the only other one i have is a shift light i installed in my stock tach:

at one point, i had an EGT gauge located in front of the shifter on the console, but i wouldn't recommend one there, impossible to look at while driving. it's just too far out of the way. in this pic you can see the bracket that i used to mount it (which is now unused):

that's it for gauges for me...

I have a 3 piller pod from a wrx that I cut up. from bottom up a/f boost, and oil pressure. I've seen some with the gauges in the center above the heater/ac controls also.

Scott, i like the shift light location.
Im kinda trying to stay away from the pillar pods, little more of a sleeper look. im planning on keeping the shadow "stealth" like. no spoiler (for now) no ground effect ect. just a plain looking es, besides the large fmic i cant hide.
in my old tuna i had my aftermarket oil/temp/volts in the factory cluster, i thought about that for the shadow, but ive never seen the backside of the cluster.
i thought i seen some one had them in the dash pad, seems hollow back there, might be an option. right now i just have the mini gauges and an a/f gauge that i do not have permanently mounted yet. ive also been thinking about tucking them (the mini gauges) down by the cup holders that never get used, or where the rear defroster control is.
    thanks for the picts.

I did mine on the pillars:

However, the cubby hole above the HVAC controls could be modified for gauges.

Additionally, this part allegedly works with our steering wheels to enable you to install a single 2-1/16" gauge there:

I'm actually thinking of getting FWD Performance's 2-gauge full-pillar pod for P-bodies and using the above steering wheel pod. I'd mount the boost gauge on the steering wheel and my oil pressure and A/F gauges back on the pillar.

    EDIT:
    You could also buy this:

    http://store.summitracing.com/partde...part=SUM-G2879

Then, paint it to match and place it just about anywhere in the vehicle.

+1 on the overlay, that would just about make me keep the stock dash gauges

heres how i got mine mounted ATM
the 3 in the A-pillar are top down: AFR, boost/vac, CLT temp. In the center are oil temp and mechanical oil pressure and the tach (never got around to putting the input from the MS to the stock tach, and i can rev to around 7000-7200)

every Shadow/Sundance I've ever come across in the junkyard always has a pile of those things in it. must be a P body thing.

The gauge overlays were a custom one-off job by a friend of mine. They were made on a high-quality laser printer. I turned off the stock backlighting and use three blue LEDs above the gauges to light them up.

I thought somebody on this site was looking at making new gauge faces. Maybe it was one of the other sites? There was a template out there. I'll see if I can find it.
