    Slight missing

My old New Yorker has had a rough experience with its new owner. The latest issue is that it has developed a miss under load. It's always had a lopey idle and the occasional miss, but I can definitely feel something driving around now. What are some possible causes of this? It doesn't effect driveability at all, still boosts great and pulls plenty of vacuum. I gave him a brand new set of 803 injectors, should we try throwing them in? Spark plugs are fresh. Would it act like that if he wounded a piston? You can see mods/info by going to my cardomain link in my sig(forgot I even had that, so many memories).

Hmm it does almost seem familiar like he said he put a new cap and rotor in it awhile back. I'll have to see, he's in Portland all week.

Damn Jay you must be quite the post whore!

well from the description of this guy I bet the wires aren't in all the way. I usually find a drill that the same diameter as the wires and carefully drill the cap out just a bit. So that I can pull the ends threw with a pair of pliers till they snap all the way in. Had to do that on that 4 door Hbody I bought from Terry. Ran perfect after that.

I'm far from a Post Whore. I only have 2.48 posts a day. Simon/Turbovanman is our post whore. He surpassed 10k posts a couple months ago. I only post in threads that interest me and I feel I can contribute to.

    10K, try 20K,

Before you start replacing parts and guessing, I would run a compression test, this is will be a nice starting point. Try Jay's idea first then do the comp test. Unplug the HEP as this disables the fuel and spark.

I would also check the ig and cam timing with a timing light.
