Valve Spring Compressor DOHC, SOHC, etc

the valve spring compressor is a vastly improved version of the CORRECT miller tool from Chrysler. The manuf intended the valves to be removed with an overhead device. Use of adapters to ohv tools can easily bend valve stems and patience.

This tool is precision machined from1/2 in cold rolled steel stock. use of grade 8 or higher hardware and rolled thread thread rod. NOT the junk with cut threads you buy at local hardware store..

This tool is made with the correct valve angles for Chrysler 2.0 sohc and 2.0 and 2.4 dohc. also works perfectly on Mitsu 4g63 and related engines as well as 3.0 dohc v6s. Does not work on mitsuchrysler 3.0 sohc v6s..

This will save you lots of time if you do alot of headwork on these engines and is priced less than half of what the lesser miller tool is from Miller/OBX.

Any idea if that works on the 8v, TIII or Masi TC heads Mike?

Mike i got this as a reponse via email, but its not posted here? What tools are you talking about here?...

Here are two Valve Spring Tools that I have found that work great on both the 16v T-III and the 8v heads. These can be used with the head on or off the car. I see them on e-bay every so often and they also have them at a tool vendor at Carlisle. For the last two years this vendor (located just off the south west corner of the Grandstand eateries) has had them for $10 each.

I posted that message here this morning, then deleted it, because I hadn't realized that I was posting in a For Sale Thread and I didn't want to be seen as hacking Mike's possibility of a sale. Then I saw your other thread that you posted on this subject, but you had already found the two that I was referring to on my site.

I'm not sure who sent you the PM, but it is exactly what I posted before I added the above link.

Wow... sorry I haven't replied. Posted this over a 1.75 years ago. Please send your questions to the email address below. My brother had it. Not sure if he sold it elsewhere or not. I will find out.

    Thanks,

    Mike

Re: Valve Spring Compressor DOHC, SOHC, etc

Here is a KD 2400. It is VERY Similar and it WILL work on both the 8v & 16v heads. I have one of each.

The 3087 is a little nicer to use when the head is still on the car, especially on the 16v head. Because the handle on the 3087 can be changed to 90 deg. so the handle isn't hitting the fire wall.

Here are pictures showing both the KD-2400 and the KD-3087:
